Q. What is a Schticker?
A. A Schticker is a vinyl sticker that can be placed on electronic devices such as laptops, phones, eReaders, and gaming devices. Our Schtickers are made of premium vinyl with an amazing adhesive on the back designed to be removable without leaving any sticky goo behind and are finished with a protective laminate top coat.

Q. Can I reuse my Schticker?
A. Schtickers are not designed to be reusable but if you are careful with the removal of the skin, there is a possibility it can be reused. They are only designed for one time use.

Q. How do I decide what size to choose for my Laptop Schticker? I don't see my make and model in your device list!
A. Good question! We only have a few templates for devices so typically we'll need the exact dimensions you'd like the skin to be.

Your best option is to give us the specific dimensions you would like the skin trimmed to by measuring the flat-surface area of the back of the laptop lid, minus any hinges or curved edges. Please note that our skins are not designed to go over edges, so keep that in mind when you are measuring your skin. We always recommend that customers measure their laptop cover for the very best fit!

 Or, you can try to enter in the make and model of your laptop and if we have the dimensions in our database, we'll create it for you. If we don't, we'll place your order "on hold" and we'll request more detailed informaton.

Lastly, you can choose one of our 3 generic sizes for your laptop (13", 15" or 17"). These generic skins will fit "most" laptops of that size but may require trimming for a perfect fit. Our most popular generic size is B because it not only fits the most common laptop size of 15.4” but also can be used on 17” without trimming and 14” & 15" laptop with slight trimming.

Q. How do I apply the Schticker to my device? I need instructions!
A. Schtickers are super easy to apply and instructions for application are on the back of your order form. They go on like a normal sticker but because they are removable, if you make a mistake, you can SLOWLY remove your Schticker and start again. Here are the step-by-step instructions we recommend:

  1. STEP 1: CLEAN IT! Wipe off all areas with a dry, soft cloth (don't use cleaning products or water) to remove excess dirt, oil, and other gross stuff that might interfere with the schtickin'.
  2. STEP 2: PLAN IT! Although applying your Schticker isn't rocket science, you'll still want to plan it out! Look at your skin and make sure to pop out all of the itty-bitty bits that are cut outs for cameras, lens, vents, etc. Eyeball where your new skin will go and make sure you aren't covering any important buttons, slots, sensors or anything else that shouldn't be covered.
  3. STEP 3: APPLY IT! Peel the skin off the backing sheet. Start at a flat corner of the device (ideally, one corner that has the trickiest stuff to line up like a camera slot, for example). Smooth out air bubbles and creases with your fingertips as you slowly apply the skin. Made a mistake? No worries! Slowly peel the skin up and start over again!

Q. How durable are Schtickers?
A. Schtickers are designed to not only look great but protect the top of your laptop or device from minor dings and scratches.  All Schtickers have a durable top coating that will protect the image and allow you to wipe off any dirt or spill. If you get your Schticker wet, simply wipe it off.  We have tested these under very tough conditions and are confident that they can hold up to normal handling.

Q. My laptop gets really hot. Will this affect my Schticker?
A. Your Schticker will not be affected by the heat.  Many laptops run a little hot.  The majority of this heat is on the bottom of the laptop and studies have shown they can heat up to 130 degrees Fahrenheit.  Schtickers are designs for the top of your laptop and are guaranteed to hold up in temperatures up to 140 degrees.  Just to give you a sense of how hot that is, according to the National Burn Center, you would receive 2nd degree burns after touching something at 140 degrees for 5 seconds.

Q. I have a logo on my laptop, will the Schticker cover it?
A. Yes, our Schtickers will go over the logo on the top of your laptop without a problem.  We designed Schtickers to lie relatively flat.  You may see a subtle outline of the logo if it extrudes from the top of your laptop but it will look great. We don't trim around the logo but actually designed the product to go over the top of all logos...even the big ole Dell Logo. The only exception? Apple Products! If you choose of the special Apple product template, you'll be able to design a skin with the Apple logo cut out.

Unfortunately we don't cut out for any other logos except the Apple. Sorry non-Apple users! :)

Q. I have an Apple notebook that has a glowing apple, will it shine through the Schticker?
A. Yes, you will still be able to see the apple subtly through the back but you can ask to receive a little square piece of material that will cover this and you will then be able to lay your skin over both.

Q. What kind of file do I need to upload?
A. Any jpg, jpeg, png, bmp or ai file. We recommend images with 300dpi or larger.

Q. My image is small and pixelated in the lab online. Do you fix that for me?
A. Unfortunately, we are unable to make smaller images less pixelated so it is best to submit a higher resolution image. What you see online will be what you get, so if it is pixelated online, the final skin will also be pixelated. If you are unsure and want us to double check your image before ordering, contact us at support@schtickers.com and we'll be happy to tell you if your images are ok!

Q. How long will it take for me to get my order?
A. We produce all orders within 1-3 business days. You'll get a shipping confirmation email at the registered email address you entered for your order. If you do not receive this information, check your SPAM folder or email us at support@schtickers.com and we can get you that information.

Shipping to US customers takes 3-5 business days via USPS First Class Mail. Keep an eye out for our large, white cardboard mailers. If you live somewhere that can't accept large packages, keep an eye out for a USPS notification slip. Unclaimed packages will be returned to us and that makes us sad.

Shipping to international customers via USPS Air Mail typically takes 5-15 business days to arrive at its destination although Canadian residents often see the packages within 8-12 days. Unfortunately, USPS does not offer a valid tracking number for International Shipments once they leave the US.

A. We hope that you will LOVE your new Schticker but if the skin is damaged, wrong, or just not what you expected, we do accept returns within 10 business days of the date you received the item. Typically, we're more than happy to reprocess your order - we'll just need the specific information about how to make your order better, be it the image, the size, or something else!
