About Us

Schtickers.com is part of Retrofitted Designs LLC, a company that strives to create high-design low-cost high-quality products that allow customers to look at their “things” differently. Current products include LapSchtickers and PodSchtickers, which allow users to customize and stylize laptops and iPods..

Schtickers.com and Retrofitted Designs LLC was formed by founder and owner Leslie Pierson. "I'm so fortunate to be able to have my day job also be my passion."

We are also thrilled with working with others, and with giving something back to the community. With this goal in mind, this website won’t just be a place to sell amazingly cool products, but also a place which will attempt to catalog and share information learned through the process of forming and expanding this business. As we believe in the power of both the individual and the community, we’re ready to share what we've learned, so others don't have to repeat their mistakes (but find new ones of their own to make--and then share them back).

Community Involvement

Giving back to the community is part of Retrofitted Designs. This giving, and the benefit to the community for company success, keeps us going and keeps the energy flowing. Programs we focus on have typically centered on the following:

Arts - We support organizations that promote visibility and accessibility of the arts at a community level.

Social Services - We provide support for programs that address the basic needs of individuals.

Beyond this we are committed to the sharing of information around other charities that align with the interest of our customer base.

Community Involvement breaks down into three distinct areas: giving, education, and action.


Giving		A portion of each purchase on this website and through the company’s wholesale program goes to a number of deserving charities. We believe in the efforts of Target Corporation in founding the "Five Percent Club," which is a landmark movement encouraging U.S. corporations to commit five percent of federally taxable income to support community nonprofits. We too are making this same committment!

Education		Currently, programs are being developed to facilitate the inclusion of packaging inserts, inserts which will help pass on information about deserving charities and how to get involved with them

Action		Retrofitted Designs strives to be actively involved in the local community--one way is through the "Community Work" program, where each employee of Retrofitted Designs is allowed to trade out one day of work a month to do community service or volunteer work. After this trade-out day, employees come back energized around their work, and with great ideas on how to grow partnerships with local charities.
